Our ecological design services are tiered to address a variety of sites and clients from small scale consultations to full custom designs for a property. Our design services go hand in hand with our management and stewardship to create a holistic vision and strategy for your landscape. Design services can follow an established stewardship and maintenance program, or be the part that kicks things off for you. Contact us to discuss how we can best work with you.

DESIGN SERVICES

Best for: Homeowners, HOAs, or small properties needing expert guidance before deeper landscape changes.
Description:
A professional ecological evaluation of the property to identify opportunities for sustainable landscape improvements, biodiversity enhancement, and low-maintenance planting strategies.
Includes:
• 60–90 minute on-site visit
• Assessment of sun/shade, soil, drainage, existing plants
• Recommendations for removal, planting, maintenance, and larger site improvments
• Optional sketches or photo markups
• Plant palette suggestions
• Written summary of recommendations (PDF or email)
Does Not Include:
• Scaled design drawings
• Construction documents

Best for: Homeowners wanting simple native plant recommendations without custom design.
Description:
A simple, ready-to-use native plant kit for small planting areas such as front entry beds, mailbox gardens, foundation strips, or patio edges. Provides clear guidance without requiring a full design.
Includes:
• 10-20 recommended native plant species appropriate for your site
• 2–3 layout templates (drifts, mixed borders, minimal grid)
• Planting directions for spacing and grouping
• Recommendations for finding plants
• Care notes, photos, and seasonal tips
• One 20–30 minute virtual or phone consultation
Does Not Include:
• Custom drawing or full design
• Site-specific measurements
• Plant sourcing or installation

Best for: Homeowners needing a small, quick-turnaround design for one part of their property.
Description:
A focused design package for one planting area (up to ~600 sq ft). Contains detail for all aspects of the planting including soil, plants, cost estimates, mulching, and installation methods.
Includes:
• Site visit
• Base plan from measurements or photos
• Two concept sketches (hand or digital)
• Final planting plan
• Species list with quantities and sizes
• Installation estimate (Agrario price)
• specifications for soil improvements, mulches, and related aspects.
• Recommendations for long term maintenance.
Does Not Include:
• Full-property design
• Hardscape drawings beyond minimal edits and concepts

This is for clients needing larger scale design for large areas, entire properties, complex sites, phased projects, and working with outside companies to collaborate on hardscape and other design elements.
Design fees will be proposed and negotiated after discussion with client and possibly a site visit.
